Health & Life Skills
These programs encourage young people to engage in positive behaviors that nurture their own well-being and to set personal goals for the future.
Members participate in programs that reinforce healthy living such as:
- SMART Girls - a health, fitness, prevention/education and self-esteem enhancement program for Club girls ages 8-18;
- Passport to Manhood - a program that promotes and teaches responsibility to Club boys ages 11-14; and
- Healthy Habits - a program that emphasizes good nutrition, regular physical activity and improving overall well-being, diversity education and more.
Special events that include health presentations and financial literacy are another key component of this program area.
