BGCBN Youth of the Year

The Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington-Normal is searching for their 2027 Youth of the Year. This person will be an ambassador for our Club this year. In addition, if they are selected, they will be able to complete in other BGCA Youth of the Year competition at the state, regional and national level, where scholarship awards can be upwards of $25,000.

 

Your child must be either a junior or senior enrolled in a local high school, in good standing with the school and the Club and willing to work hard to benefit themselves.

 

There is a lot of work involved on behalf of the member to be successful, including an extensive application, which includes recommendation letters, three essays to write and prepare for a speech to be delivered in front of judges. Therefore, we will be preparing the youth interested on Mondays from 5pm – 6:30pm at Teen CLUB in January. Hours Monday – Thursday between 2:45pm – 6:30pm may be available to assist members with their individual application requirements.
