2021 Q4 Newsletter – Program Highlights Continued…

Our current concern for those who need us most, is what happens to them NOW? We just don’t have the space.  One solution to this on-going problem is continuing to offer our Virtual Club Experience (VCE).  Club members and other youth, are welcome to hop online and get support with homework, play games with friends and build relationships with our team and other youth. Another way in which we are able to serve more youth in our current environment, is by offering interest-based programming. We have increased the number of youth development staff and have collaborated with several community partners to offer additional programs in our space. This allows more young people to connect with the Club. Both of these programming additions have allowed us to serve specific youth more intentionally through homework help and by participating in activities in which they have an interest.
We know that when we seek out and collaborate with our community partners, we make meaningful progress in guiding our young people and their families. Our work with young people, especially those who need us most, is the focus of all of our efforts. The Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington-Normal gives youth and caring adult professionals the chance to join in and advocate for a stronger community.
